You’ll become an important part of our housekeeping team when you join Queen Elizabeth Park Care Home in Guildford as our Laundry Assistant. You’ll be responsible for sorting, washing, drying and pressing all clothes, bed linen and towels for our residents’.

Your role
As our Laundry Assistant you will ensure that all residents laundry is carefully cleaned according to the washing instructions. You will identify and pass on clothing that needs to be repaired to your line manager and will ensure residents property left in pockets is safely returned to them.
Here’s some other important things you need to know:
- You’ll need to understand and comply with all statutory and legal requirements that are relevant such as Health and Safety and COSHH
- Ensure that the laundry area is clean and tidy at all times by washing walls, work surfaces and floors on a daily basis
- Ensure that all laundry chemicals are ordered – via the administrator, stored and used in the correct way
