Queen Elizabeth Park resident’s surprise 90th birthday treat!

Queen Elizabeth Park care home treated one of its much-loved residents to a very special birthday treat last week.

Resident at Queen Elizabeth Park, Frank Jupp turned 90 years old on 10th December and as a special treat was taken to Carebase’s newest home, Bridge House in Abingdon, for a birthday surprise.

Frank wanted to see the new home and visit June Maharaj, Bridge House Care Home’s Manager, who until recently was the manager at Queen Elizabeth Park, and someone Frank has a great friendship with.

June, QEP’s Activities Coordinator, Jackie, and Heather De-ninis, Acting Manager at Queen Elizabeth Park, got together to organise a special trip and surprise meal for Frank and his closest friends from Queen Elizabeth Park.

Frank doesn’t have any close family members, so it was the perfect way to make his birthday special. Frank is a much-loved resident at Queen Elizabeth Park and has been there many years.

He absolutely loved his visit to the new care home in Abingdon and enjoyed the meal with his friends and members of staff. He was given a special present of a framed picture of the Flying Scotsman, as he is a train fanatic.
